The best person to ask any questions regarding your quote is the transport provider who submitted the quote. Truckit makes it easy to ask your provider using our messaging system.

To find the message section:

  1. Make sure you are logged in, you can do so at truckit.net/login
  2. Go to Listings & Bookings and click on the listing you have questions about.
  3. Scroll down to the Quotes section and click on the quote you have questions about to expand the message section (see picture below)
  4. Type your message and click Send Message

For safety reasons we ask that you do not share any personal or business contact details in the messaging system, as this is a public forum. Read more here.

The Provider will instantly receive an email alerting them of the message. They can then login and reply when available. As a lot of Providers are owner-drivers they may be out driving during the day and may not be able to respond straight away, so please consider this when waiting for a response. But don't worry, you will receive an instant email to alert you they have replied.

Once you have accepted a quote and booked the job, your messages with the Provider now become private. You will also now receive the Providers phone number and email address for peace of mind.

However, it is recommended to continue your communication with the Provider through the Messaging system as this will retain a log of your conversation, which can help resolve any unlikely disputes. Dealing direct with the Provider on the phone may seem easy, but there is no record of what has been said or agreed upon if issues arise. If you do speak to them on the phone, it is recommend to message the provider afterwards with the key points that was said/agreed to on the call so there is a written log.
