Plain High-Level Terms and Conditions – Provider
Here’s what you need to know when accepting an Instant Booking (Book Now or Offer Now) job:
Contact the Shipper ASAP: Once you’ve accepted a job, reach out to the Shipper right away. Communication is key, and we want to ensure a smooth process for everyone involved.
Goods Compliance: The Shipper has already confirmed the Goods comply with all relevant laws and regulations. They’ve also provided detailed descriptions of the items, including their nature, weight, and measurements. Accurately input these to avoid any surprises down the road, so if anything looks off, contact the Shipper and clarify.
Proof of Delivery (POD): After completing the delivery, make sure to confirm Proof of Delivery. You can do this either through our Truckit Provider App or by uploading a photo of the delivery receipt or signed delivery docket to the Truckit Job details page. This will protect you in the event of dispute, and it’s all about keeping things transparent and efficient!
Cancellations: We get it—it sometimes plans change. You can cancel an Instant Booking, but keep in mind that excessive cancellations might affect your eligibility for future Book Now or Offer Now jobs. Refer to our minimum performance standards for guidance. Shippers can also cancel up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up without any charges. If a Shipper cancels a booking within 24 hours, Truckit has the ability to provide you with a cancellation fee of up to 30% of the full freight cost. However, we’ll always strive for fairness and reasonableness in such cases, so make sure you’ve messaged or discussed any cancellations with the Shipper clearly.
Please refer to the Standard Terms and Conditions for the applicability of additional charges.
Chain of Responsibility: As a Carrier, it’s essential you comply with Chain of Responsibility legislation specific to Heavy Vehicles in each State. It is your responsibility to stay informed and meet relevant regulations issued under this legislation.
