Please note: The following information is for providers using the Booking Deposit payment model for jobs with alternate payment terms (only available on jobs over $5000). For providers using the secure payment method Truckit Pay (all jobs under $5000 are mandated to), read more here about receiving payment

Booking Deposit

Once a customer accepts your quote via Truckit, they will pay the booking deposit. Once the customer pays this, the job is booked and the remaining balance now becomes due and payable to you.

How you collect the remaining balance from the customer depends on the agreement you’ve made — either in your quote’s specific terms or through the Truckit messaging system. The timing of the payment will depend on the payment method you selected when quoting.  For most jobs that use an alternative payment method to Truckit Pay, the balance is typically “on delivery”, meaning the customer will pay you the remaining amount when the goods are delivered.

It is highly recommended to state your payment methods and terms clearly in your 'Quote Specific Terms' whenever you submit a new quote in order to avoid unnecessary disputes. You can even save a template of your terms and conditions which you can easily select when placing a new quote, rather than having to type it out each time.
