If for some reason you need to cancel one of your jobs, simply go to 'My Jobs' and click on the job that needs cancelling.
Once on the listing page, you will see the orange action button 'Request Cancellation.' Clicking this button will bring up the form which requires you enter an explanation to administration as to why the job needs to be cancelled, as well as feedback for the other party.
A notification will then be sent to the other party and they will be required to fill out the form also to confirm cancellation of the job. Please note, the other party will not be able to see your feedback until confirmation is received, allowing you to leave honest and constructive feedback.
You will also be asked if there is a futile or cancellation fee associated with the cancellation. If you would like a fee to be charged, you must select ‘Yes’ and enter the amount.
Please note:
For a fee to be approved, your Quote Specific Terms must have clearly outlined any cancellation or futile fees, and the conditions for those fees must have been met.
You can only calculate the fee based on the ‘Provider Amount’, not the ‘Total Quote Amount’, as the total includes Truckit’s service fee. This is because Truckit refunds 100% of our fee to the customer in the event of a cancellation.
Once both parties have confirmed cancellation, the refund to the customer will be processed by administrators less any associated cancellation/futile fees. It will take 1-5 business days for cancellation/futile fees to appear in your nominated bank account.
